Sales Lead

We’re Semantic Health, a healthcare machine learning company backed by DCVC, Preface Ventures, and Polar Venture Partners. We work with some of the top hospitals in North America to improve the efficiency of their manual and error-prone medical coding and auditing processes. Our software uses proprietary artificial intelligence and deep learning to automate secondary reviews of hospital claims data to allow them to reduce coding errors, limit denials, and improve data quality and compliance.

At Semantic Health, we combine the clinical and business expertise of doctors and successful entrepreneurs, with the technical skillset of top ML researchers. We’re looking for a health-tech focused sales lead, with deep experience navigating, driving, and closing software enterprise for healthcare providers and the ability to lead and scale up sales efforts.

As a Sales Lead, you will:

  • Drive and close multi-year, enterprise deals with providers and health systems
  • Build and execute on overall sales and go-to-market strategies in line with company strategy
  • Creatively build and iterate on sales processes and tactics
  • Cultivate, maintain, and nurture new and existing client and industry leader relationships, leading to new and expanded business opportunities
  • Deeply understand and apply market and industry trends, as well as product differentiators to sales processes
  • Craft, lead, and land inspiring sales pitches and product demonstrations to key stakeholders, including C-level executives to industry leaders
  • Coordinate cross-functional internal teams to successfully navigate the sales cycle

We are looking for people who have:

  • 5+ years in enterprise sales, ideally in health-tech, including driving and closing multi-year, 7 figure enterprise deals across the pipeline. Bonus points if this is with providers and health systems, and selling to the c-suite (particularly the CFO)
  • Entrepreneurial passion and flair, with a clear sense of urgency and accountability, and comfortability self-starting
  • Have been in a quota carrying role for several years (ideally 7 figures), with an outstanding track record of exceeding quota
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and collaborate with others, and to build and maintain key relationships across the C-suite
  • Worked in a mid/late stage growth health-tech company to sell to providers, large health systems, or payers
  • Deep experience or relationships with healthcare industry leaders
  • Strong ability to lead, update, and refine sales process, operations, and best practices across the pipeline

Bonus points if you have experience with:

  • Experience managing and leading other AEs
  • Experience with artificial intelligence (AI) or ML and NLP
  • Experience selling health-tech software to the provider C-suite
  • Experience expanding enterprise contracts
